Calibration Tests in Menu Order

This lesson follows the calibration menu shown in Snapmaker Orca 2.3.5. Complete the five filament-related tests first, in order, before considering the advanced printer-motion tests.

Filament Calibration

Snapmaker Orca 2.3.5 orderTemperature → Flow Rate → Pressure Advance → Retraction Test → Max Flowrate. Each later test depends on the earlier filament settings being reasonable.
Advanced Printer Tests

Continue only when the basic filament profile is working

Cornering

Tests how the printer handles rapid direction changes. This is primarily a printer-motion adjustment, not a basic filament setting.

Input Shaping

Compensates for mechanical vibration that can create ringing or ghosting around sharp features.

VFA

Tests for repeating vertical surface artifacts that can appear at particular movement speeds.

When to run U1 Dynamic Flow CalibrationThe U1’s automatic Dynamic Flow Calibration runs from the printer’s print-start options and is separate from the manual Flow Rate and Pressure Advance tests in this slicer menu. Run Dynamic Flow Calibration after changing the filament loaded in a toolhead. If the same filament remains loaded and its setup has not changed, the calibration generally does not need to be repeated for every print.
