Evidence Instead of Silent Substitution
Why These Settings
Creator, listing, project, sliced, and verified values remain visible as distinct source states.
Layer Height
0.16 vs. 0.20 vs. 0.22 mm
IK3D recommends 0.16 mm or lower; the listing shows 0.20 mm; the verified U1 project uses 0.22 mm. The larger verified layer retained the face, scales, horns, claws, and 60 mm geometry, but visible layers remain prominent under macro photography.
Academy: choosing a layer height
Infill
Creator vs. Verified
The creator recommends at least 3% rectilinear. The verified U1 project uses 5% gyroid. Both values stay labeled; 5% gyroid is approved only for this tested U1 configuration.
Supports
Disabled and Successful
Horns and raised features completed without support collapse. Minor underside and transition roughness is documented.
Filament Estimate Variance
46 g Listing vs. 50.49 g Slice
The listing and slice are not equivalent. The verified plan uses the controlled slice while preserving the 46 g listing estimate as a separate manufacturer/platform value.
Time Variance
2:32 vs. 2:52 vs. 2:48
The listing estimate, slice estimate, and actual elapsed time remain separately labeled. Actual elapsed time passed the slice-to-print tolerance.
Color Workflow
Red / Black / White / Yellow
The documented tool order produced the correct body, claws and pupils, eyes and highlights, and horns, spines, and belly. Verification evidence confirms clean four-color registration.
